A woman who has stood for what India truly is and should be. A woman who was and is called "amma" to all the women in India. A woman who stood through all the trials. A woman who is misunderstood by every citizen of India.
Whenever i read about her, the first thing which comes to my mind is " what an icon she was". And she lived up to it. I may have not seen her face to face nor know her personally. To others , she may look like a unsuccessful dictator. But to me, she did what she had to do. There were many people who used her power and took advantage of it. In the end, she had to pay the price for it.I even had a conversation with my mother about Indira Gandhi. She said when she was studying in all saints college in trivandrum, Indira Gandhi was on her way from the airport to the city. When she saw the girls standing outside all saints waiting for her glimpse. She stopped the vehicle, got out and gave namaste to all the girls . My mother even described to me the way she was dressed too. I was amazed by her dressing style. She could dress according to which country or place she is visiting.
This is not the end to what i am writing about her. There are more about her! So, keep track and watch out!
